300mm wafer can produce two and a half times the number of chips made using a 200mm wafer
Infineon Technologies has started volume production of automotive power metal oxide semiconductor field-effect transistors (MOSFETs) on a 300-millimeter (mm) thin wafer technology for power semiconductors at its Villach site in Austria, the company said in a press release yesterday (19 May).
