NHTSA to continue oversight
General Motors (GM) is investing USD439 million in the Chevrolet Corvette plant in Bowling Green, Kentucky, United States, to build a new paint shop. In a statement, GM said that the investment would help retain 150 jobs. The 450,000-square-feet paint shop is almost half the size of the entire production facility, GM said. Construction of the new paint shop is set to begin this summer and will take about two years to complete, and the project will include substantial technology upgrades.
