GM to invest USD1.2 billion to expand operations at Indiana truck plant in US
Part of the company's plans to invest USD5.4 billion in North American production facilities
General Motors (GM) yesterday (26 May) announced it is to invest USD1.2 billion at its Fort Wayne full-size pick-up truck plant on upgrades and technology. In a company statement, Cathy Clegg, vice-president of GM North America manufacturing operations, said, "This investment is more evidence that the customer is at the centre of every decision we make. Truck customers demand top quality. The upgrades at Fort Wayne Assembly will enable our team to continue delivering for them for years to come."
