GM offers 15-day paid time off to workers at Brazilian plant to cut back production
Several manufacturers have already suspended production and implemented lay-offs, including GM.
US automaker General Motors (GM) is reportedly offering 15 days of paid vacation to workers at one of its Brazilian plants in a bid to cut back on vehicle production. According to Agência EFE Brasil News Service, unnamed union officials said the automaker will give paid time off to as many as 1,700 workers at its Sao Jose dos Campos plant in Sao Paulo state during 15−30 June.
