Nexen Tire to supply OE tires for Renault Twingo and Daimler's Smart
South Korean tyre-maker secures more supply contracts.
South Korean tyre-maker Nexen Tire will be supplying original equipment (OE) tyres for French automaker Renault and German automaker Daimler's Smart brand, according to a company statement. The tyre-maker will be supplying its N'blue Premium tyres for Renault's Twingo, and Daimler Smart's Forfour. Nexen claims that the N'blue Premium has improved fuel efficiency. "The supply of OE tyres has a positive effect in the replacement equipment tyre market, and we plan to raise greater brand awareness and strengthen our market positioning through expanding supplies of OE tyres to global car manufacturers," the company said in a statement.
