PPG completes USD5 million expansion at Wuppertal facility

Supporting a 35% increase in annual production capacity.

PPG Industries announced yesterday (30 June) that it has completed a USD5-million expansion at its coatings manufacturing facility in Wuppertal, Germany. In a company release, PPG says that the project added equipment to existing buildings on the campus, supporting a 35% increase in annual production capacity. The facility produces environmental sustainable waterborne coatings for automotive and industrial applications. PPG currently employs 190 at the plant, and plans to hire employees to manage the increased capacity. The plant's capacity is expected to supply PPG customers in the region.
