GM Thai unit to export locally produced engines to North America

To Supply Duramax diesel engines

General Motors (GM) yesterday (1 July) began production of engines at its Thai facility for export to North America, reports local publication the Bangkok Post. Marcos Purty, the managing director at GM Thailand, revealed that the unit would supply 2.8-litre, 4-cylinder Duramax diesel engines to GM's plants in the United States and Canada, for installation in Chevrolet's Colorado model and GMC's Canyon.
