American Axle's (AAM) sales increase 6% y/y in Q2
Net income rises 12%
American Axle & Manufacturing (AAM) has reported a 6.0% year-on-year (y/y) gain in sales to USD1.0 billion in second quarter. AAM's net income reached USD58.6 million in the second quarter, up 12.2% compared with USD52.2 million in the same period of 2014. AAM's second-quarter financial performance was highlighted by quarterly records for sales and profit, driven by sales growth that "continues to outpace the industry and strong operational performance", said AAM chairman, president and chief executive officer David C Dauch, in a company statement.
