July auto sales in Mexico grow 16.1% y/y; exports, production decline y/y
Mexico returned a seventh month of strong sales, with July 2015 sales up 16.1% y/y. Production, however, was down 2.0% y/y, and exports were down 2.3% y/y, though both are positive for on a year-to-date basis.
The Associacion Mexicana de la Industria Automotriz (AMIA) has reported light-vehicle sales, production and exports for July 2015. After June’s 27.1% gain, July’s growth was a somewhat more sedate 16.1%.
