Lawsuit seeks class action status and an injunction requiring automakers to install automatic shut-off features on all existing and future vehicles sold with keyless ignition systems

Lawyers in the United States have filed a class action lawsuit on Wednesday (26 August) against major automakers including Fiat Chrysler, Ford, GM, Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Hyundai, BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Volkswagen over what is termed as “deadly defect” in automotive keyless ignition systems, Reuters reports.
