ZF’s clutch ‘by wire’ lowers CO2 emissions, fuel consumption by 10%
Clutch operated independent of mechanical connection
ZF has launched a new Clutch-by-Wire (CBW) system, which replaces a conventional transfer of force using the pedal with an electromechanical actuator system that controls the clutch without a mechanical connection to the pedal, says a press release.
