UK CV production surges in August
Output is benefiting from strong domestic demand as well as from export markets.
UK commercial vehicle (CV) production has surged during August, according to the latest data published in the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT). During the month, output leapt by 70.3% year on year (y/y) to 3,628 units. This has further positively affected production in the year to date (YTD) to 61,595 units, an increase of 34.1% y/y.
