Schaeffler develops E-Clutch for hybridised transmissions
Clutch’s ‘sailing’ function offers fuel savings between 2% and 8%
Schaeffler has launched a new clutch, “E-Clutch,” which replaces typical mechanical or hydraulic clutch systems with one that either operates the clutch in specific driving conditions or completely automates the clutch, according to a company press release on 15 September.
