Production Statistics & Forecasts

IHS Automotive currently forecasts production of the Audi Q3 at the site will reach 132,000 units during 2015, a record number for this model.

SEAT's plant in Martorell, Spain, will increase production of the Audi Q3 crossover throughout November, reports Europa Press. Unnamed union sources have said that management and the works council have agreed to a production schedule for the month to work morning shifts on 7, 14, 21, and 28 November on production line 3, which manufactures the vehicles. Staff will also undertake night shifts on 15 and 22 November.

Significance: The production boost for this vehicle is said to be related to an increase in orders received during August and September. IHS Automotive currently forecasts production of the Audi Q3 at the site will reach 132,000 units during 2015, a record number for this model and an increase of around 17% year on year (y/y). This will also help total production at the site reach 474,000 units, a gain of a little more than 7.2% y/y, since SEAT Ibiza and Leon output is also expected to increase.
