Sales up 14% y/y

US-based Harman’s net income (non-GAAP) increased 16% year on year (y/y) to USD107 million in the first quarter ending 30 September 2015, the company announced in a press release. On a GAAP basis net income increased 5% y/y to USD87 million. Harman's net sales and operating income rose 14% y/y each to USD1.63 billion and USD131 million, respectively. The company's EBITDA grew 23% y/y to USD188 million.
