Vietnamese government approves new automotive industry development plan
Aimed at boosting domestic manufacturing of vehicles and related components.
The Vietnamese government has approved a draft plan for the automotive industry, according to the Vietnam News Agency Bulletin. Its report suggests Vietnamese prime minister Nguyễn Tấn Dũng has cleared the plan to develop the country's automotive industry by 2020 and provide a vision to 2030. Aimed at boosting domestic manufacturing of vehicles and related components, the plan will involve measures to boost infrastructure development and supporting industries and to reduce production and logistics costs.
