Glitch in the electronic control unit (ECU) programme

The South Korean Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport has ordered the recall of about 555 units of Mercedes-Benz’s AMG S63 4Matic sedan in South Korea because of an ignition problem, reports local Yonhap News Agency. The ministry said that the affected cars have been found to have a glitch in the electronic control unit (ECU) programme that sometimes allows fuel to flow to the engine when the vehicle slows down. The drop in fuel can cause the ignition to turn off, which can cause safety problems.
