Vehicle production at Ford, Renault-Nissan, and Daimler India plants remained down for the second straight day

Vehicle production in the Indian port city of Chennai in Tamil Nadu has been affected by massive floods caused by heavy rains. According to a report by the Economic Times, vehicle production at Ford, Renault-Nissan, and Daimler India plants in the city remained down for the second straight day yesterday (17 November). The report adds that Ford has suffered a production loss of 1,200 vehicles, while Renault-Nissan has had to forgo output of 1,800 units. In a statement to IHS Automotive, Ford said it resumed output at the plant today (18 November), adding that it would "assess the impact in due course".
