Belarusian president extends construction deadline for Geely plant to 2030
The previous deadline was 1 July 2019.
A new assembly plant to be built for Chinese automaker Geely in Belarus has been given an extended deadline until 2030, the Belapan News Agency reports. The previous deadline was 1 July 2019. This new deadline involves a decree from Belarusian president Alexander Lukashenka that exempts Geely from paying import duties and value-added tax on materials imported for the construction of the plant.
