Westport Innovations, Gas Technology Institute get fund to advance natural gas combustion technology
Expects technology to be commercially available in four years’ time
The California Energy Commission (CEC) and the Southern California Gas Company (SoCalGas) have awarded USD900,000 to Canada-based natural gas engine producer Westport Innovations and US-based research firm Gas Technology Institute (GTI) for a programme to advance natural gas combustion technology, according to a company press release.
