Hires executive to oversee global connected car initiatives

The Renault-Nissan Alliance will have more than 10 models with autonomous driving technology within four years, according to CEO Carlos Ghosn. Ghosn made the announcement, which also included details of the company's connected car strategy, at a media briefing at the company's Silicon Valley research centre in California, United States. Ghosn chose the company's research centre in California as the announcement's backdrop at the same time as the Consumer Electronics Show is happening this week in Las Vegas, Nevada, with an explosion of connected car and autonomy announcements from automakers and suppliers.
