Audi displays concept for future interiors
Displays a number of high-technology areas under development
At the 2016 Consumer Electronics Show (CES), Audi focused on a potential future version of its virtual cockpit. This was displayed in an interior model that leveraged active-matrix organic light-emitting diode displays with integrated haptic feedback, and a new multimedia interface control with touch response that uses gesture control and "recognizes familiar touch gestures from the consumer electronics world and adapts them to the special operating environment in the automobile." As Volkswagen displayed its next-generation infotainment system, MIB II, Audi offered up MIB2+, which includes more computer power to control several high-resolution displays and is prepared for the LTE Advanced wireless communication standard, Audi said.
