Samsung SDI’s Q4 net loss widens y/y to USD197 billion; to split chemical business to facilitate merger with Lotte
Company to invest USD2.6 billion in EV battery business over next five years
Samsung SDI said its net loss widened during the fourth quarter (Q4) ended 31 December 2015 to KRW231.3 billion (USD196.7 billion, 31 December 2015) compared with loss of KRW128.8 billion (USD117.2 billion, 31 December 2014) a year earlier, the battery making unit of the Samsung Group said in a regulatory filing today (25 January).
