Hyundai considers partial move of Accent production from South Korea to Mexico
The move may materialise in 2017.
Hyundai is considering partially shifting production of its Accent compact car from South Korea to Mexico, said a Reuters report citing sources with knowledge of the matter. The report indicated that the move will facilitate the production relocation of the low-margin nameplate from high-cost South Korean manufacturing base. The move may materialise in 2017 and will allow Hyundai to take advantage of Mexico's low-cost structure.
