Tesla mulls Chinese EV production plant

Electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer Tesla's founder and CEO, Elon Musk, is continuing to consider establishing a production base in China. However, the company still lacks a production partner or any concrete plans to produce in the country. Speaking in Hong Kong earlier this week, Musk discussed production in China and said the plans were to find a local production partner and a location for the plant in mainland China "by the middle of this year", reports UK technology news website Engadget.com.
