Result of declining demand in the Russian market

The joint venture (JV) manufacturing plant between PSA Peugeot-Citroën (PSA) and Mitsubishi (PMSA Rus) that the two firms have in the automotive cluster of Kaluga, Russia, is moving to a four-day week, according to a press release issued by the facility. This is the result of declining demand in the Russian market, and for the models that are manufactured at the plant, which include the Peugeot 408 and Citroën C4 Sedan, as well the Mitsubishi Outlander and Pajero Sport sport utility vehicles (SUVs). The release stated that the plant would move to the four-day working week from 1 February to 31 July 2016 in order to balance output with demand.
