Latest round of investment in the plant in Gyõr declared legal
The European Commission has declared the state aid that the Hungarian government offered Audi for the latest round of its investment in the plant in Gyõr to be legal, according to an MTI-Eco news agency report. The Hungarian government is offering EUR133 million to Audi Hungária Motor for further development of the facility which already builds one million powertrains for VW Group vehicles and which assembles the TT models as well as looking after the complete manufacturing of the A3 sedan model range. The aid in question was given to support the facility becoming a full-fledged car manufacturing plant with stamping facilities and a paint shop for the A3 sedan, with production beginning in 2013.
