Opel Ampera-e to be built in US alongside Chevrolet Bolt – report
To be manufactured at General Motor's plant in Orion, Michigan
The Opel variant of Chevrolet's Bolt electric car, the Ampera-e, will be built alongside its US counterpart according to a report in German specialist publication, Automobil Produktion. According to the report the model will be built alongside the Bolt at General Motor (GM)'s plant in Orion, Michigan. GM CEO Mary Barra confirmed the launch of the European variant of the car last week at the CAR-Symposium in Bochum, Germany.
