Plans to produce 500 Silverado and 200 Sierra pick-ups with mild-hybrid system
General Motors (GM) plans to produce limited numbers of 2016 model-year Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra full-size pick-ups equipped with stop-start technology (also known as mild-hybrid), according to a report by the Detroit News. The automaker plans to produce 500 Silverado and 200 Sierra pick-ups with its eAssist mild-hybrid system.
