Issue high-voltage battery management system

Volkswagen is recalling about 5,600 e-Golf electric vehicles reports Reuters, all in the US. The report cites the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) as saying the vehicle is being recalled because software in the “high-voltage battery management system may inadvertently classify a brief internal electrical current surge/peak as a critical battery condition,” and that the condition could cause the car to shut down.
