Tesla recalls Model X; Honda recalls Accord – reports
Model X issue with the third-row seats, Accord issue with airbag module
Tesla has recalled its Model X SUV to address an issue with the third-row seats, according to media reports. At issue is a latch meant to keep the third row in place; during a frontal-crash test with stricter European Union standards, a latch meant to hold the seat upright collapsed under the weight of a simulated passenger, Automotive News reports. Bloomberg quotes an email sent to owners as saying, “Recently, during an internal seat strength test that was conducted prior to the start of Model X deliveries in Europe, the recliner in a third row Model X seat unexpectedly slipped.
