Takata increases provisions for airbag recall by USD189 million – reports
USD147.5 million earmarked for airbag recall costs, USD31.1 million for injury settlements relating to defective airbag inflators
Takata has set aside an additional JPY20.1 billion (about USD189 million) for handling airbag recalls, according to a Bloomberg report on 2 May citing a company statement.
