Haldex, Zhejiang VIE form JV to develop electromechanical brake systems for commercial vehicles
Initial focus on China’s electric bus market
Haldex and Zhejiang VIE Science and Technology have formed a 50:50 joint venture (JV) named Haldex VIE (China) Electro Mechanical Brake Systems Co., Ltd., states a press release. The Shanghai-based JV will undertake the designing, development, production, and sales of electromechanical brake systems for commercial vehicles. Both companies will contribute necessary financial and engineering resources to bring the electromechanical brake system to the commercial vehicle market. The JV is expected to start earning revenue from 2020 onwards.
