BYD to enter lithium mining industry
Plant to have annual output capacity of 30,000 tonnes of lithium carbonate
Chinese automaker BYD Auto signed an agreement on 23 June with Qinghai Salt Lake Industry Group to build a plant for the production of lithium carbonate, the raw material used for making lithium batteries used in electric vehicles (EVs), reports Xinhua news agency.
