Tire pressure monitoring systems
The market for tire pressure monitoring systems was set on an upward curve even before the US mandated system fitment as part of the TREAD act. In Europe, according to estimates from Schrader, fitment rate is currently running around 4–5%, mainly in middle to upper range cars and this is likely to increase to around the 15% mark by 2010. In Asia, fitment rate is lower but now increasing as regulatory barriers concerning radio frequency use are removed
