Global purchasing adds complexity to buyer’s tasks
But Dr Martin Hoffman, Group Executive Director for Purchasing Process and Information Management at Volkswagen says that there are great opportunities for emerging market suppliers
"If you are a supplier, it is a very important element to understand how our purchasing culture works," Dr. Hoffman told a recent WBR conference for suppliers in the Czech Republic. "Cost analysis, regression analysis and function analysis become much more important to us the more we globalise the market," he said.
