MapQuest and Urgent.ly have launched a navigation app with on-demand emergency roadside assistance across the US.

MapQuest and Urgent.ly have launched a navigation app with on-demand emergency roadside assistance across the US. The app will leverage Urgent.ly’s on-demand platform and roadside assistance network to provide towing, tire change, fuel delivery, jump start or lock out services. The user needs to tap “Roadside Assistance” available in the MapQuest menu bar and connect to Urgent.ly through HTML5, which does not require a separate app download. Urgent.ly will lock in the user location once it receives vehicle information and problem. The app will connect the user to a nearby service provider and allow the users to track the service provider’s progress on a map, along with its estimated time of arrival. On completion of satisfied service customers will be charged via credit card.  The app is currently available in iTunes, PLAY or the Amazon App Store.
