Lear renames electrical division to E-Systems
Name change is intended to reflect Lear’s expanded electrical architecture and vehicle connectivity capabilities
Lear has renamed its electrical business segment to “E-Systems.” The US-based supplier announced the change in a company press release, noting that the name change is “intended to reflect the increasing complexity of automotive electrical systems and Lear’s expanded electrical architecture and vehicle connectivity capabilities.” The E-Systems portfolio includes wire harnesses, terminals and connectors; complex electronic modules, power converters and inverters; battery chargers, 48-volt systems, wireless capabilities, software, cybersecurity, lighting modules and audio components.
