System helps reduce emissions of oxides of nitrogen by 50%

In a test, Ford Transit vans, fitted with XL Hybrids’ XL3 Hybrid Electric Drive Systems, showed a 26% improvement in miles per gallon (mpg) on the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Urban Dynamometer Driving Schedule (UDDS) drive cycle, reports Green Car Congress.
