Company expects two models to help reach US plant reach annual production of 50,000 to 60,000 units

Detroit Electric plans to expand electric car portfolio which currently comprises its all-electric roadster, the SP:01. According to a report by electrek, the Netherlands-headquartered company intends to launch an all-electric luxury sedan in 2019 followed by an electric SUV. These two new vehicles will be based on an all-new platform that the electric carmaker will develop from scratch.
