Cypress unveils single-chip automotive MCU
New devices come with more memory for program code and graphics to support hybrid instrument cluster applications
US-based semiconductor designer and manufacturer Cypress Semiconductor Corp has expanded its Traveo automotive microcontroller (MCU) device range, the company said in a release on 24 August. The new devices come with more memory for program code and graphics to support hybrid instrument cluster applications. The new devices, launched on the S6J32xE series, provide a single-chip solution that can drive graphics on head-up displays or traditional gauges, and also provide scalability with Cypress' low-pin-count HyperBus memory interface.
