Increased price reflects better value of the product, says the company’s spokesperson

Tesla increased the price of its Autopilot system last week by USD500, according to Digital Trends. Buyers, who opt for Autopilot system at the time of ordering the automaker’s Model S and Model X, will now have to pay USD3,000 instead of USD2500 earlier to install the feature that allows semi-automated driving under certain conditions. However, those opting for the feature after taking delivery of the vehicle will have to pay USD3,500 instead of USD3,000 earlier to install this feature.
