US affirms anti-dumping duties on Chinese bus and truck tires − report

Chinese truck tire imports into the US have grown by 36% y/y to 8.9 million units in 2015

The United States Department of Commerce has stated that truck and bus tires produced in China and imported into the US have been sold at below-market prices, indicating that these preliminary findings will be a step towards the imposition of duties. Reuters reports that the preliminary determination states that the tires were dumped at margins of from 20.87% to 22.57%. The final determination will be announced no later than 17 January 2017.
