Automotive industry body asks for pan-India coverage of FAME scheme
In a bid to push demand for electric and hybrid vehicles in India, Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), the industry body for automobile makers, has requested the government of India to extend the “Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of (Hybrid &) Electric Vehicles in India”(FAME) scheme to all cities of India, reports Press Trust of India.
