Volkswagen CEO denies plans for giant EV battery factory—report
German automaker to announce its battery strategy before the end of the year
Volkswagen (VW) Group’s CEO Matthias Muller has denied reports that suggested the automaker would invest in its own battery factory, like the one Tesla Motors has built in the United States. In an interview with German newspaper Handelsblatt, Müller termed the reports, which appeared in May this year, as “complete nonsense”.
