French city Lyon launches fully electric autonomous shuttles
Driverless shuttle equipped with high-tech equipment including LiDAR, stereo vision and GPS
French city Lyon has become the world’s first city to introduce fully autonomous electric shuttle on its public roads, according to Lonely Planet. The city has started running two driverless shuttles along a 10 minute route in the Confluence area. French start-up firm Navya, which specialises in autonomous systems, has supplied the shuttles.
