Light vehicle production in Mexico up 13.9% y/y in August to 199,684 units
Exports also up 11.9% y/y
Mexico's light-vehicle output gained 13.9% y/y in August to 199,684 units, up from 133,085 units in August 2015. In the YTD, production was roughly even year on year, rising 0.7% to 1,336,278 units. Nissan easily remains Mexico's most significant contributor and output rose 4.5% y/y so far this year to 571,490 units, while second-placed GM's output was down 2.9% to 443,035 units in January−August.
