Cooper Tire, consortium partners make progress in developing tire based on guayule polymer
Cooper will study whether the guayule polymer-based tire can be commercialized
The Cooper Tire-led consortium behind the Biomass Research and Development Initiative (BRDI) grant, “Securing the Future of Natural Rubber—an American Tire and Bioenergy Platform from Guayule”, has reached a key milestone in its bid to manufacture tire out of guayule-based polymers, the company said in a press release on 15 September.
