ZF tests cyclist Automatic Emergency Braking in Europe
Company upgrading the system with a wider-view camera
ZF is expanding its Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) capability to detect cyclist and other vulnerable road users, according to a company’s press release. In order to detect a cyclist in advance, the company is upgrading the system with a camera with wider field of views. Earlier this month, the company showcased its upgraded AEB capability with a crossing bicycle test apparatus that emulates EuroNCAP test for cyclist at the ZF Safety Days in Locke Township, Michigan (United States) and Trappes in France.
