China's passenger vehicle exports slip 3% y/y to 278,140 units in January–August
Commercial vehicle exports witness sharper decline
China exported a total of 433,000 vehicles in the first eight months of the year, marking an annual decline of 13.1% year on year (y/y), data from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) show. Of these, the volume of passenger vehicles (PVs) exported hit 278,000 units, down just 3% y/y, while commercial vehicle (CV) exports were 155,000 units, down 26.8% y/y.
